You should have seen Dad and Alan on the Elephants. They laughed and laughed. Vic and I were on one too and it was very high. Thank God they didnt run amok. We went for a ride on them through the local countryside and then rode on a bullock cart to come back to the Elephant camp. We then unfortunately watched an Elephant show where they painted pictures and kicked footballs and played tambourines. That part was not nice and we all felt sorry that these magnificent creatures were trained to do these demeaning things. We were told that the Thai government has stopped logging and that the people and the elephants that previously did the logging work now run this tourist camp. The money goes to the whole village as the people are now employed at the Elephant Camp. Overall we had a great day out. Oh, the bullocks names were, Toyota and Mitsubishi.
This blog is intended to be a travel journal and a place where friends and family can share our excellent adventures when we go on holiday.
